It was very empty today. Which was a bit surprising, because the lake was usually bustling with people either fishing, or swimming. But not today. Zephyr was sort of glad for that. She wasn't a recluse by any means, she loved talking to people and making friends. But on occasion, like today, she preferred to be alone. Though she could never bare to completely isolate herself, so she chose to go places that not a lot of people traversed. And while Lilypad Lake was by no means a deserted place, it was less used than the beach. Today though, there were maybe a couple people here.
Zephyr sighed, sinking onto the grass. She leaned against a tree, looking out onto the water. It was getting chillier, especially with the breeze coming off the water, and so she was dressed in a gray sweater and dark blue jeans. She had a black jacket and black knee-high boots on, as well as a dark blue scarf wrapped around her neck. Her sketchbook was resting on her lap, her knees raised. She had a bag sitting at her side, colored pencils and pens scattered on top.
One days like this she could see the appeal of being lazy, like her twin brother Gregory. Where she was okay with being by herself, for the most part. It was on these days where she got the most drawing done. Her current picture was of the water she was currently staring at. Usually she stuck to drawing fashion designs but on occasion she liked to draw scenery. It was calming.
